Crush to sand size which removes sharp edges: use as bedding in place of sand; use as aggregate instead of sand; add to plaster for decorative shine; Crush to pebble size which removes sharp edges, use as decoration in concrete plaster. Issue. Glass is a relatively new construction aggregate material.
The construction industry is one of the largest industries in the world, and sand is a major contributor in everything to do with construction materials. More than 50 billion tons of sand is used in construction globally, annually. It’s important to know that not all sand has the same properties, and therefore, different sands are […]
This research investigated the potential use of ever-increasing waste glass as a sustainable alternative to depleting natural and manufactured sand in geotechnical construction. The study compared the geotechnical, mineralogical and morphological behaviour of crushed waste glass with that of two traditional types of construction sand.
The construction industry has a huge need to solve this challenge. This is also resulting in poor qualities of sand, particularly containing silt. They need to solve this challenge by using crushed sand in construction works. It is a better substitute for natural sand considering increasing demand of sand in construction industry.
Crushed sand can be of coarser and angular texture. This can lead to more water and cement requirement to achieve the expected workability. Manufactured sand can contain larger amounts of micro fine particles than natural sand, This can affect the strength and workability of the concrete. We are also using M-sand for current project.

Gravel, along with sand, is used for the manufacture of concrete, as well as for mixing with asphalt as part of road construction. It can be used as the base layer for roads before being covered with tarmac, and is also commonly used to surface roadways, especially those in rural areas and in icy conditions.
Secondly, the concrete using mono crushed sand was added from 0 to 20 mass-% very fine crushed sand < 0.14 mm of total sand. The optimal amount of fine crushed sand was from 5 to 10 mass-% to possibly produce a favorable effect on the concrete’s workability and resistance under compression, flexure, splitting, and abrasion. The shrinkage strain developed rapidly and significantly within five

Crushed Stone Sand. It looks like gravel and feels like gravel. But unlike gravel, crushed stone sand is a natural but commercially created resource that is made from crushed minerals, such as granite or limestone. Crushed stone sand is commonly used for road construction, and is widely known as a low-cost, high-value commodity.
Construction aggregate, or simply aggregate, is a broad category of coarse to medium-grained particulate material used in construction, including sand, gravel, crushed stone, slag, recycled concrete, and geosynthetic aggregates. Aggregates are the most mined materials in the world.
Let''s look at a few types of sand used in construction! 1. Concrete sand. Concrete Sand is one of the types of sands in India that is made from crushed concrete. It is a common component in cement and asphalt mixtures. This sand is crushed in the quarry and filtered to remove the large rocks and huge fragments.

Crusher dust, also known as blue metal, cracker, or rock dust, is simply the material leftover when making crushed rock. As rocks are run through the crusher, tiny pieces and dust particles are left behind. Instead of being thrown out as waste material, the dust is recycled and becomes a valuable product with many practical applications in both commercial construction and home projects.
